BAPTISM
Baptisms are held the Friday before Communion Sunday. Baptism is a holy and sacred ordinance of the Christian church and should not be taken lightly. New members are encouraged to be baptized if they have not already previously been baptized in the Christian faith. One of the Deacons will meet with you to discuss information and the meaning of baptism. On the evening of your baptism, please wear white shirt, white shorts, white socks to be worn under gown along with proper under garments. Gown, robe and towels will be provided by the church. Please also bring a change of clothes and under garments to wear after baptism. "Therefore we are buried with Him by baptism into death, that as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life."
Romans 6:4
WEDDINGS
All couples intending to get married in the church must first fill out a wedding application form and then must attend pre-marital counseling with the Pastor. Certain fees apply for members and non-members. Approval of applications are on an individual basis. To have a wedding in the church, the couple must have a belief in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of their life.
As God instituted marriage to be between a man and a woman "Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife; and they shall be one flesh." Genesis 2:24
BABY DEDICATION
Baby Dedications are held at the end of Sunday morning worship after the 11am service. An application must be filled out for the desired date to have baby dedicated and you must meet with one of our Deacons to go over what is expected of family members getting their child dedicated to the Lord.
FUNERALS
Knowing that sorrow is great and times are difficult in going through the motions of losing a loved one, our church family will do its best to help you get through your time of bereavement and to prepare for the Homegoing service. We are here to help ease the burden, for we too feel the loss when one of our brothers or sisters in Christ and member of our church family has gone on to be with the Lord. "For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens." 2 Corinthians 5:1
